Microsoft's 'Partners in Learning' Programme recognized as Corporate Social Responsibility initiative

We are happy to inform that the Partners in Learning Programme implemented by Microsoft has been recognized and presented in the „Responsible Business in Poland 2007. Good Practices.”Report.

As an educational centre with the status of the Microsoft Regional Innovation Centre, KANA Gliwice is actively participating in the Programme, which is known in Poland under the name of „Partnerstwo dla Przyszłości”. Please also see: Case Study.

Under framework of the programme, Microsoft empowers and encourages the whole community of teachers, students and parents to utilize new technologies in the process of teaching and learning, as well as facilitates access to licence software.

The above-mentioned document is the sixth edition of the Report, compiled annually by Responsible Business Forum - the first non-governmental organization in Poland to provide in-depth focus on the concept of corporate social responsibility. Forum was established in Warsaw in 2000 as an initiative of Polish businessmen, academics and NGOs.

The Report „Responsible business in Poland 2007” summarizes companies' efforts directed at adhering to the principle of corporate social responsibility as well as reviews other initiatives in this field.

It is worth mentioning that the 'Partners in Learning' Programme has been recognized as Good Practice in the category „Business and Society – Building Information Society”.
